If it is annoying I apolobize for continuing with the scriptures theme, but what I quoted from you is interesting to me as the book of the Revelation to John, and one that most people are very aware of, says that the number of "the Beast" will be "the number of man...666." This is almost certainly a reference to Carbon, as man is a Carbon based life form.

The question I have had for years is why God would think it important to warn us that the last "Hitlerish" ruler would be a man, and not an "alien" or "extraterrestrial." How was it known so long ago that the extra terrestrial issue would be so important in our time?

I have indeed thought, based in part from so many that have come before, claiming to be extraterrestrails (like the myth/story of Val Thor, for instance), that some "false Christ" could very well fool people with fake miracles, etc. into taking power.

Great SciFi story anyway ;)

I would imagine so. What would divinity look like under a microscope? And how would we know it was truly divine, and not just alien? If such a thing did exist, I wouldn't be surprised if it changed its properties to further boggle us mere mortals and drive physicists nuts. Like Wave Particle Duality, acting like a particle or a wave depending on observation.

Interesting point, Bob -- one I hadn't even thought of before regarding Christianity, faith, and evidence. Why would a God feel the need to provide evidence to the people of that time, but not the people of today? Why is it not acceptable to some Christians when asked to provide evidence for a Christ figure or God in general?

Another interesting thought: What would have passed as evidence 2000 years ago, would not hold up very well today. Hell, we can't even trust photographs and video in 2011. If Jesus were real and were to come back today, I hope he has some stellar stuff that can be repeatedly tested! lol. He'll have to come out of the sky with a strand of hair for DNA testing and a jar of urine.

Nice one. Good for everyone regardless of their opinions.

As someone studying New Testament Scripture, I am often amazed at how many folk who think of themselves as "Christians" claim to not need evidence to have "faith". Whether one believes Jesus was a real person, or not, the Scriptures themselves plainly state that he thought enough of the need for evidence to provide such evidence (for the reality of his Father who sent him) by performing miracles. If he understood the need for evidence why do so many of these Cristians fall on the "I don't need evidence, I have faith" BS?

I see the same things in my UFO investigations, from Chrisitans and non-Christians alike...exactly as the narrator in this video points out.

Whatever your beliefs, they should always be based on some type of evidence.
